Kitchen Use Information:
We’re often asked why non-members can’t attend our events. In 2024, Alberta Health Services introduced new regulations for organizations across Alberta. We fall under Alberta Environmental Public Health, which promotes and protects safe, healthy environments. Because we are a private, membership-based organization, we can only serve food to members. Allowing non-members would make us a public event, requiring an application to the Calgary Zone at least three months in advance and subject to inspections. These rules are in place to ensure food safety.
The cupboards were cleaned on Friday. Please store all leftover snacks in sealed containers or clipped bags and keep them in the fridge. We’ve noticed a small amount of mouse droppings in the upper cupboard corner, and during summer ants are attracted to sugar. Proper food storage helps prevent pests.
Please remember to wipe down tables with Fantastik, Clorox, or wipes after every activity, and turn on the black sterilizer machine at the end of evening activities.
