Presidents Message

I hope this message finds you and yours well and in good health.

Our Autumn Harvest Dinner and Dance was a complete sell-out, and fun was had

by all! Thank you to everyone who joined us.

 

Next up is our Halloween Dinner Dance on October 29th, 2025. Be sure to get

your tickets early, this event is always popular and will sell out quickly.

 

The Electoral Forum held on September 24th, 2025, was also a great success with an

excellent turnout of about 113 attendees, including 10 candidates. We were able

to cover many important topics and ensured most of the member-submitted

questions were addressed.

 

A friendly reminder that its membership renewal time. The annual fee remains

the same at $40.00.

 

New Community Calendar Books have arrived and will be available at

the General Meeting on October 8, 2025. They are part of our fundraising

efforts, and the cost is $5.00.


 

October 1st – Harvest Moon Social

The Airdrie Senior’s Planning Committee is hosting a “Harvest Moon Social”

on October 1st at the Town and Country Centre, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM,

in celebration of the International Day of Older People.

 

All seniors aged 55 and over are warmly invited to attend.

 

Tickets $5.00 per person, with all proceeds going to the Airdrie First Christmas Hamper Program.

 

October 8th – 1:30 PM Community Links Presentation: A dietitian from the Primary Health Care Network will be visiting the club to give a presentation. The presenter will discuss topics such as meal planning, cooking for one or two, nutritional needs as we age, general nutrition tips, and strategies for preparing healthy meals on a budget.

October 9th - Oktoberfest 

There are still tickets available. Payment is due asap.

Oktoberfest Lunch-Full buffet and entertainment.

Beer available for purchase.

Tickets $60 per person-Payment due on or before September 26th

Arrive at the Over 50 Club at 10:00am to fill out paperwork

Leaving the club at 10:30am returning at 3:00pm.

Individuals who need to cancel are responsible for reselling their tickets.
